Hello and Welcome to my Site and Shop!
My name is Carina Crayton, and I am the Owner of Wild & Precious. I am also the Designer of all the products you see, and the one who personally handles and fulfills every order :-).
Being a Perfectionist, I take great pride in supplying exceptional service, and creating products of an exceptionally high standard, with meticulous attention to detail.
The Artist in me is the one who sees beauty in all things, and she wants to share that beauty with you, and bring joy to your heart every time you look at one of her creations.
The Poet in me writes about anything that moves her. I will occasionally share some of my writings here, as a blog. My Nom de Plume is CJ Carrington, and I will sometimes use that when writing articles or other pieces.
The world could use more artists, dreamers, poets and lovers.
My published Poetry Volumes will soon be for sale in my shop, and make great gifts for all those sensitive souls who wander around this Earth, shell-shocked at all the nastiness out there.
The Horticulturist in me loves creating beautiful gardens, and products to enhance beautiful gardens.
My inner Lumberjack is always on the side of the trees.
I am a Breast Cancer patient of the State, so I have many hair-raising stories to tell on that side too.
Finally, I am also the Co-Founder of Wild Heart Wildlife Foundation, a South African Conservation Non-Profit Organization. This is my day (and night and weekend and holiday) job. I draw a very minimal salary from this charity, preferring donor money to rather directly help more animals, than fund anyone's lifestyle. To this effect I'm transparent about the fact that my monthly salary is just more than a quarter of minimum wage in South Africa. One of the reasons I started Wild & Precious, is to supplement this income, as well as give back to this charity so close to my heart. With every purchase a percentage is going back into our Foundation (#WHWF), thus reducing strain on the NPO.
